Through the CIW certification program, IT professionals are authenticated with job-role skills competency for entry-level jobs. These CIW certifications can be taken at any level, from the foundational CIW Associate certification, through the CIW Professional specialization certifications, up to advanced-level Master CIW certifications.
Once you have passed the any 1 exam in the foundations, you become a CIW associate, who is equipped for basic hands on knowledge that all internet professionals should ace at, like internet technologies, XHTML etc.
By passing 2 exams, the Site Development Foundations* module exam and the Site Designer exam, you can become a CIW Associate Design Specialist.
To become a CIW professional in website design, security, application development or any other discipline, you again need to pass 2 exams i.e. CIW Associate certification and an additional certification from the discipline you are interested in.
With CIW v5 Foundations * you become a CIW associate. If you pass CIW Site Designer and CIW E-Commerce Designer which are both CIW Professional certifications, you will become a Master CIW Designer.
There are similar exams combinations required to be qualified as CIW Database Design Specialist, Master CIW Administrator, CIW Security Analyst, Master CIW Website Manager and Master CIW Enterprise Developer. A foundation exam is obligatory for all the certifications, and qualifies you as a CIW Associate. Every addition exam that you take with CIW, trains you for additional skills and gives you another certificate to be added to your repertoire.
